There are as many different reasons to support Herring Gut Learning Center as there are generous individuals who pledge their support each year. Your contributions are used to run our hatcheries and greenhouse, plan and implement curriculum for our hands-on aquaculture programs, and teach people of all ages about the ocean and its resources through community outreach presentations and summer camps. We never have a shortage of new and creative program ideas, but the costs to run our facility always seem to be rising. Please consider several of the many ways your contribution will be used this year:

• $50 supplies our aquaponics greenhouse with fish food and seeds for a month
• $100 sponsors a local child to attend our summer camp programs
• $250 maintains our marine touch tank for a season
• $500 provides a month of light and heat in our oyster hatchery
• $1,000 offsets the salary of a college intern to lead our community outreach programs
• $5,000 covers the cost of sending one of the sixty at-risk students to Herring Gut this year
